Problem
Some of the tools used by Facebook Sales Agents to manage their book of business were being deprecated. There was a need for an all-in-one tool that could fulfill all the various tasks performed by the agents while seamlessly integrating with internal tools.
Solution
As part of the Sales and Marketing Interfaces team at Facebook, we grew the internal CRM to be a robust tool that could handle all the various needs of our Sales Agents across the globe, while providing smart insights via data visualizations. I traveled with our team of Researchers, PMs, Engineers to different offices across the globe in order to talk to our users, observe how they used the product, and test prototypes/builds for live feedback and iteration.
Outcome
As a result of having a direct feedback loop with our users and a fully integrated team, we were able to not only merge all data before deprecation, but also introduce simplified breakdowns to understand the complex data as well as smart features that identified key insights and opportunities. It was all received with an overwhelmingly positive response by our global sales force.
